Bigg Wiggle Fest 4 in support of the 2013 International Children’s Games (ICG’s) took place on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Riverside Sportsmen’s Club. Funds raised in excess of $5,000 (net) will benefit event hosting and operations for the ICG’s next year.
Bigg Wiggle put on an exceptional show, which was sold out with over 600 patrons and had exceeded all expectations.
Members of the HOCKtoberfest board and volunteers who helped out in both the facilitation and running of this event included Janice and Steve Dobson, Kim Bondy McDonald and Jeremy Renaud. Kim and Jeremy also sit on the ICG committee as the closing ceremonies coordinator and fundraising and sponsorship coordinator respectively.
Since it’s inception, the ICG’s have attracted over 35,200 participants representing 332 cities from 74 countries over 4 continents and is now believed to be the largest gathering of young people taking part in sport in the world.
Windsor-Essex County will host the 2013 International Children’s Games August 14 through 19, 2013.
